Gillian is an emerging paper conservator and preservation consultant. She is (currently) based in Philadelphia at the Conservation Center for Art & Historic Artifacts, where she conducts surveys, teaches workshops and webinars, and helps with preservation policy development and implementation for institutions under the Documentary Heritage and Preservation Services for New York initiative. Previously, she was the National Endowment for the Humanities Preventive Conservation Fellow at CCAHA, where her research focused on the preservation and conservation of artist and writer Pati Hill’s electrophotographic prints.
She has lived and worked in both the United Kingdom and the United States, and can make a fabulous cup of tea and a great cup of coffee.
